South Carolina Science Council Catalyst Award: Catalyst: Something that initiates or causes an important event to happen. Many people in this organization serve as catalysts for science education. They spark the interest of students to pursue science. They serve as science education leaders in their classrooms, schools, districts, or across the state. They are role models for teachers around them. To honor these science professionals, the Executive Board has created the Catalyst Award for Educational Excellence. Nominees must be members in good-standing, must have directly impacted teachers and students, will be nominated by the membership at-large, and selected by the Executive Board. To nominate someone for this award, contact Donald Poland, Immediate Past-President

Teacher Grants are temporarily suspended due to the  economic conditions.  We do plan on continuing the Make-a-Wish mini grants at the conference.

Email Listserve (As a way to increase communications among our membership, an email distribution (Listserve) list has been created. This list provides a variety of ways for members to share announcements, classes, workshops, ideas, resources or to just pose conversation items.)
