As the state chapter of the National Science Teachers Association, the South Carolina Science Council recognizes the position statements put forth by the NSTA. In addition, (SC)² provides the following statements, adapted from the NSTA statements, but specific to South Carolina.

NSTA Adopts New Position Statement: Principles of Professionalism for Science Educators
In a newly revised position statement, Principles of Professionalism for Science Educators, NSTA establishes expectations and principles to guide the professional conduct of all preK–16 teachers of science.
